The Regular Season in Premier League just started. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Gomel 2 in Minsk on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Gorizont 2 84-35. Gorizont 2 held Gomel 2 to an opponent 22.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 49.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Gorizont 2 forced 24 Gomel 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 47-33 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Gorizont 2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Gomel 2's players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Milana Novik (179-2008) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 4 assists. point guard Alena Prokhorchuk (168-2009) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Maria Gaponik (178-2008) answered with 9 points and 10 rebounds for Gomel 2. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gorizont 2's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena BC Minsk.
Another interesting game for BC Minsk which played on the court of Gomel. BC Minsk crushed hosts 99-51. Swingman Yana Borisevich (181-2006) stepped up and scored 19 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners and Yana Makutsa chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. BC Minsk's coach Andrey Vavleu felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side swingman Yana Paraschenko (180-2005) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds. BC Minsk's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Minsk Gorizont 2.
An interesting game was also tough home loss of BC Minsk Youth in a game versus undefeated Gorizont 71-57. Anastasiya Verameyenka nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points, 21 rebounds and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Polina Dryuk came up with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for BC Minsk Youth in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gorizont will meet at home Gomel in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. BC Minsk Youth will play against Olimpia in Grodno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 1 Brest beat Victoria on the road 56-46.
The most impressive performance of 1st round was 3 points, 15 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals by Lyudmila Karinchuk of Brest.

Gomel - BC Minsk 51-99

Another interesting game for BC Minsk which played on the court of Gomel. BC Minsk crushed hosts 99-51. BC Minsk held Gomel to an opponent 22.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 62.7 percent accuracy of the winners and made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game, while Gomel only scored two points from the stripe. They outrebounded BC Minsk Youth 57-27 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Gorizont looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by BC Minsk Youth's players. The former international center Anastasiya Verameyenka (197-1987) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points, 21 rebounds and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and the former international center Viktoryia Hasper (192-1988) accounted for 13 points and 7 rebounds. Victoria - Brest 46-56

But Victoria was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Brest 56-46 on Saturday night. Brest forced 25 Victoria turnovers and outrebounded them 57-40 including 20 on the offensive glass. Brest looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Anastasia Kuratnik (173-2002) nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and Lyudmila Karinchuk (172-1995) accounted for 3 points, 15 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals. Power forward Ulyana Paley (183-2009) came up with 7 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Daria Grigut (178-2009) added 14 points and 5 steals respectively for Victoria in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Brest will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Victoria will play against Gomel 2 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
