There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in Premier League. Coincidentally all visitors won their games. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.
The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Grodno: Olimpia (#4) and Victoria (#8). Victoria was crushed at home by 58 points 42-100 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Olimpia held Victoria to an opponent 22.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 47.6 percent accuracy of the winners. Olimpia forced 26 Victoria turnovers and outrebounded them 53-35 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Olimpia looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Victoria's players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Daria Yaroshevich (180-2007) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds. The former international power forward Hanna Lapo (188-1997) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Daria Grigut (178-2009) answered with 8 points and 8 rebounds for Victoria. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olimpia (4-2) moved-up to third place, which they share with Gorizont 2. Victoria lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with five games lost. Olimpia is looking forward to face Gorizont 2 (#3) in Minsk in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Victoria will play on the road against the league's second-placed Gorizont (#2) in Minsk and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Minsk: BC Minsk Youth (#5) and Gorizont 2 (#3). Elizaveta Saboida helped adding 14 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. At the losing side point guard Lilia Narkevich (169-2008) responded with 8 points and 9 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BC Minsk Youth have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 4-3 record. Gorizont 2 at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with Olimpia. BC Minsk Youth will play against Gomel (#7) at home in the next round. Gorizont 2 will play against Olimpia (#4) in Grodno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
