Makutsa's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

20-year old center Yana Makutsa (198-C-2004) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team BC Minsk and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
She had a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds, while her team outclassed BC Minsk Youth (#4, 6-4) with 30-point margin 86-56. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed BC Minsk to consolidate first place in the Belarusian Premier League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and BC Minsk keeps a perfect 9-0 record. Makutsa has many years of experience at BC Minsk, through which she has constantly improved. Makutsa has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 8.4rpg) and averages solid 69.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Yana Paraschenko (180-G/F-2005) of BK Gomelskiye Rysy. She is a swingman in her 6th season at Gomel. In the last game Paraschenko recorded an impressive 22 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course she led Gomel to another comfortable win outscoring Gomel 2 (#9, 0-9) 107-41. Gomel's 6th position in the standings has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-6 record. Paraschenko is one of the most experienced players at Gomel and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 12.8ppg (#6).

Third place about best performers goes to another Gomel's star - forward Anastasia Chupakhina (174-F-2007). Chupakhina showcased her all-around game by recording 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in the last round. She was another key player of BK Gomelskiye Rysy, helping her team with a 107-41 easy win against Gomel 2 (#9, 0-9). The chances of Gomel ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Chupakhina could help Gomel to bring them higher in the standings. Chupakhina has a great season in Belarus. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.9ppg (2nd best).
