Antwainette Walker claims Belarusian Premier League Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Antwainette Walker (180-G/F) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader BK Gorizont Minsk and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11 (Second Stage).
The swingman had a double-double of 16 points and 16 rebounds, while her team beat Gorizont 2 (#5, 5-16) 78-67. It allowed Gorizont to consolidate first place in the Belarusian Premier League. Gorizont has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 20-2. It was one of impressive evenings for Walker as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Antwainette Walker averages this season 9.8ppg and 5.4rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Anastasia Chupakhina (174-F-2007) of Group B best team BK Gomelskiye Rysy. Chupakhina impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 22 points and 13 assists. Of course she led Gomel to another comfortable win outscoring Gomel 2 (#4, 0-18) 121-47. Of course Gomel still keep Group B's top spot. Her team has currently 11-7 record. Chupakhina is a newcomer at Gomel and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.3ppg (#3). Her other stats are also decent: 6.2rpg and 4.2apg.

The third best performed player last round was another Gomel's star - Varvara Solovey (181-C-2007). Solovey showcased her all-around game by recording 21 points, 15 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. She was another key player of BK Gomelskiye Rysy, helping her team with a 121-47 easy win against #4 ranked Gomel 2 in a game of the week. Gomel confirms their top position in Group B. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 7 lost games. Solovey has a very solid season. In 14 games in Belarus she scored 4.9ppg. She also has 4.4rpg and a FGP of 51.7%.
