Belarusian Premier League round 13 (Second Stage) best performance: Antwainette Walker (by Hoops Agents)

American Swingman Antwainette Walker (180-G/F) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked BK Gorizont Minsk, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13 (Second Stage).
The player had a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds, while her team outclassed BC Minsk Youth (#4, 8-15) with 47-point margin 85-38. It allowed Gorizont to consolidate first place in the Belarusian Premier League. Gorizont has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 22-2. It was one of impressive evenings for Walker as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Antwainette Walker averages this season 10.7ppg and 6.1rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Ilona Katsyro (171-PG-2005) of Group B leader BK Gomelskiye Rysy. Katsyro had a very good evening with 28 points, 2 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course she led Gomel to another comfortable win 71-54 over slightly lower-ranked Brest (#2, 9-11) being unquestionably team leader. Of course Gomel still keep Group B's top spot. Her team has currently 13-7 record. Katsyro is a newcomer at Gomel, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.8ppg (#1). Her other stats are also decent: 4.2rpg and 5.8apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Ektarina Shako (180-F-2007) of Group B second-best BrGU COR Victoria Brest. Shako scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Despite Shako's great performance the Brest lost 54-71 to #1 ranked Gomel. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of Brest ranking at the top of Group B, however are very questionable as they have already lost 11 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Shako could help Brest to bring them higher in the standings. Shako has a great season in Belarus. After 20 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 6.5rpg (9th best).
