Aliaksandra Yakubovich claims Belarusian Premier League Hoops Agents weekly honour

Talented Aliaksandra Yakubovich (175-PG-2003) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best BK Gorizont Minsk and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 22-year old playmaker had the game-high 16 points adding four rebounds and nine assists for Gorizont in her team's victory, helping them to outclass Gomel (#8, 1-10) with 76-point margin 111-35. Gorizont maintains the 2nd position in Belarusian Premier League. Gorizont has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 9-1. In the team's last game Yakubovich had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for her as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Yakubovich has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 6.2apg) and averages solid 5.2spg and 52.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Ksenia Prokhorchuk (175-F-2007) of BK Gorizont Minsk. Prokhorchuk impressed basketball fans with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course Gorizont cruised to a 62-52 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked BC Minsk Youth (#4, 6-5). Gorizont's 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-6 record. Prokhorchuk is a newcomer at Gorizont and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 11.7ppg (#7). She also registered 5.2 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Daria Trus (188-C-2008) of SBK Olimpia Grodno (#3). Trus scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Olimpia, leading her team to a 87-38 easy win against the lower-ranked Brest (#6, 3-9). Olimpia is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 9-2 record is not that bad... Trus has a very solid season. In 10 games in Belarus she scored 7.5ppg. She also has 5.5rpg and a FGP of 65.2%.

9. Anastasia Chupakhina (174-F-2007) of Gorizont - 14 points and 4 assists
10. Anastasia Golovchiner (184-F-2002) of Brest - 16 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
