Alena Tsitavets claims Belarusian Premier League weekly honour

Alena Tsitavets (180-SF-2003) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader BC Minsk and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3 (Second Stage).
The 22-year old had the game-high 8 points adding seventeen rebounds and six assists for BC Minsk in her team's victory, helping them to beat Gorizont (#2, 13-3) 76-68. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed BC Minsk to consolidate first place in the Belarusian Premier League. BC Minsk has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 16-1. Tsitavets has many years of experience at BC Minsk, through which she has constantly improved. Tsitavets has impressive league stats. She leads league in rebounds with 8.8rpg. Tsitavets is in league's top in assists (4th best: 4.1apg) and averages solid 1.4bpg,3.1spg and 64.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another BC Minsk's star - young swingman Yana Borisevich (181-F/G-2006). Borisevich impressed basketball fans with 18 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course BC Minsk cruised to a 76-68 relatively comfortable win over Gorizont (13-3). The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Borisevich is one of the most experienced players at BC Minsk and similarly like Alena Tsitavets has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 11.4ppg (#7).

The third best performed player last round was international swingman Aryna Masko (179-G/F-1999, agency: LBM Management) of SBK Olimpia Grodno (#3). Masko scored 15 points. She was a key player of Olimpia, leading her team to a 64-33 easy win against #4 ranked BC Minsk Youth in a game of the week.
