The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Kortrijk (3-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by Royal Braine (4-0) 94-92. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kortrijk. It was a key game for the top position in the league. 25 personal fouls committed by Kortrijk helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Marie Vervaet (186-2000) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Micaela Kelly (168-1998, college: CMU) who added 15 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Bottom-ranked Lummen (0-3) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their third consecutive match to eighth ranked Liege (2-2) 89-54. Even 17 points and 5 rebounds by swingman Agathe Proesman (175-2008) did not help to save the game for Lummen. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Liege moved-up to seventh place. Lummen at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Spirou. Liege will play against league's leader Royal Braine on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
