Siroki WWin outplayed Igokea tonight 86-77 in decisive Game Five of the Playoff Finals. It means that Siroki won its fourth straight title in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The hosts took control on Igokea from the beginning. After ten minutes of play Siroki already held double digit lead, 28-18. Igokea improved in the second period (17-18), but was not able to resist after the breather. Siroki players created 26-14 in Q3 for plus 21 with ten minutes remaining in the game. Last quarter belonged to Igokea 15-27, but that was not enough and Siroki continued his domination in Bosnia. Dalibor Persic (193-G-85) led the hosts tonight with double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds. Coleman Collins (206-F-86, agency: Interperformances, college: Virginia Tech) scored 15 points and Darko Planinic (211-C-90) added two less. In the loosing squad, Milos Komatina (205-FC-84) was better than the others with 25 points. Milan Dozet (204-SF-79) had 19 points and 8 rebounds, while Nenad Sulovic (202-C-85) stopped to 9 points. Siroki was the regular season champion in League Six with almost perfect 9-1 record. They eliminated Varda HE with 2-0 in the Semis.
Siroki WWin managed to defend the Cup trophy tonight. The reigning Bosnian champion handed 83-75 loss to Igokea in the Big Final celebrating 8th Cup title in its history. Dalibor Persic (193-G-85) top-scored for the winners with 14 points and he pulled down 8 rebounds. Darko Planinic (211-C-90) had 12 points and 5 rebs, while Jakov Jakov Vladovic (186-PG-83) and Fran Pilepic (192-G-89) netted 11 points each. Jakov Vladovic had double-double as he also dished out 10 assists in this meeting (6 rebs). In the loosing squad, Nebojsa Joksimovic (191-SF-81) shined with 16 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds. Milan Dozet (204-SF-79) also scored 16 pts, while Nenad Sulovic (202-C-85) added 12 points and 7 rebs. Quarters: 28-14, 23-17, 17-20, 15-24. Siroki was the host and defended the trophy in the front of 3.000 spectators. The hosts had a strong start and they made 8 of 14 attempts from behind the arc during the first 20 minutes. Igokea improved after the breather, but it was not enough to avoid defeat in the Big Final.
For the 7th time in the club's history BC Igokea Aleksandrovac has lifted Republika Srpska cup trophy beating in the final KK Radnik Bijeljina 98:72. It's the third time in a row they won this competition. BC Igokea Aleksandrovac was very motivated for this match and started very strong from the very beginning. At the end of the first quarter they were already up by nine (26:17) and continued in the same rhythm. Till the end of the second quarter the margin between two teams was 18 points (48:30) and practically the game was already set. For the winners top performers were Marko Brkic (206-FC-82, agency: Beo Basket) with 20 points and Milan Dozet (204-SF-79) with 19 points. For the losing side Filip Goranovic (206-F/C-85, agency: Sport Connect) had 16 and Dragan Simic (207-F/C-81) 12 points.
