Ivan Alipiev joins Rimini

Dole Basket Rimini (Serie A2) added 26-year old Bulgarian international forward Ivan Alipiev (203cm-98kg-1999, college: LMU). He started the season at Gemini Mestre. In 12 Serie A2 games in Italy, he had 14.0ppg and 5.8rpg. Last season, he played at CSM Steaua Bucuresti (Liga Nationala) in the Romanian league. He also played for Antwerp Giants (Pro Basketball League) in the Belgian league. The team played in three different competitions that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. Alipiev also played 6 games in FIBA Europe Cup, where he recorded just 2.5ppg and 1.8rpg.
He has also been a member of the Bulgarian international program for some years. Alipiev has regularly played for the Bulgarian senior team since 2022 and previously for the U20 National Team back in 2018.
He also represented Bulgaria at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 European Pre-Qualifiers this year. During this event, he scored an average of 11.7 ppg and had 4 rpg.
Alipiev is a quite experienced player. He has played professionally in Austria (Lions), Belgium, and Romania.
His team made it to the CBI Championship Semifinals in 2019.
Alipiev graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2022 and it's his fourth season as a pro player.
