The game between third ranked Cherno More (21-8) and 8th ranked Beroe (11-18) in Varna on Thursday ended with biggest points difference. Cherno More outscored guests from Stara Zagora 117-76. Cherno More shot 62.5 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Beroe's players. American forward Lamont West (203-2002, college: Missouri St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import Darrell Davis (196-1996, college: Dayton, agency: Slash Sports) contributed with 20 points for the winners. American forward Brett Reed (204-1996, college: St.Martin's) answered with 12 points and 9 rebounds for Beroe. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cherno More maintains third place with 21-8 record having just one point less than leader Rilski. Beroe at the other side keeps the eighth position with 18 games lost. Cherno More will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Beroe will play at home against the league's second-placed Balkan (#2) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
There were no big surprises in other games of round 29: Minyor 2015 beat Botev on the road 101-97. Bottom-ranked Shumen was destroyed by Balkan on its own court 65-84. Lokomotiv Pl. managed to outperform Levski in Plovdiv 99-90. Spartak Pleven managed to beat Akademik at home 90-82.
