BUBA Basketball successfully defended their Bulgarian Basketball Federation U16 boys Cup, demolishing Cherno More Ticha 114-91 in the final at the Hristo Borisov Hall to claim the trophy for a fourth time in the age group.
Coach Ivaylo Zhelev's side dominated from nearly the opening tip and never once relinquished the lead against Kiril Bolshakov's team. After a back-and-forth start, the Sofia side found its offensive rhythm and quickly built a double-digit cushion that ballooned to 18 points by the end of the first quarter. Cherno More had no answer in the second period, and BUBA stretched the lead to 56-29 at halftime.
The capital club continued to control its destiny in the second half, leading by 24 after 30 minutes. The Varna side showed a strong offensive face in the final period but never threatened the symbolic visitors, who finished the job they started.
Boris Tsokov (2010) was magnificent with 24 points, eight assists, and eight steals. Hristiyan Bakov) added 20 points with four three-pointers, while Marin Yoshovski) registered 14 points and five rebounds. Metodi Alipiev) posted 13 points and six rebounds, and Kaloyan Panayotov) chipped in 10.
For Cherno More, Nikolay Dzhambazov was sensational in defeat with 33 points, six rebounds, and six assists. Yan Ermolaev added 21, while Brusen Georgiev finished with 11 points and eight rebounds.
The result secured a successful title defense for BUBA, who had triumphed in Pleven last season. Cherno More settled for silver their first since 2024 and third overall. The bronze went to Akademik Bultex 99, who earlier beat Beroe Stara Zagora 84-77.
