Whitney Bays
American Whitney Bays (188-F-92) had an amazing evening in the last round for Zabiny Brno and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 25-year old forward had the game-high 18 points adding nine rebounds and three assists for Zabiny Brno in her team's victory, helping them to crush Flying Foxes (#4, 1-4) with 19-point margin 85-66. Zabiny Brno maintains the 3rd position in their group in CEWL Group A. Zabiny Brno is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-3 record. In the team's last game Bays had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. She turned to be Zabiny Brno's top player in her first season with the team.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 25-year old American guard Samantha Logic (175-G-92, agency: LBM Management) of Flying Foxes. Logic impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 14 points and 11 assists. Bad luck as Flying Foxes lost that game 66-85 to slightly higher-ranked Zabiny Brno (#3, 2-3). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group A. Flying Foxes still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. 4 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Flying Foxes managed to get this year. Logic is a newcomer at Flying Foxes and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.0ppg (#9). Her other stats are also decent: 7.0rpg and 8.4apg.
The third best performed player last round was another Flying Foxes' star - American Nina Davis (180-F-94, agency: LBM Management). Davis scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Despite Davis' great performance Flying Foxes lost 66-85 to #3 ranked Zabiny Brno. But her team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Flying Foxes can only dream about fighting for top spots in Group A. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Davis she does not play for a better team. But maybe if she did, her season stats would not be that high. Davis has individually a great season in CEWL. After only 5 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.2ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 10.6rpg (3rd best).
Other top performing players last week:
4. Diana Voynova (192-C/F-88) of Marburg - 18 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Tonisha Baker (173-G-90) of Marburg - 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Paige Bradley (175-G-94) of Marburg - 9 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
