Podrug's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

45-year old center Emilija Podrug (190-C-1979) had a very impressive game in the last round for ZKK Zadar and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
She had a double-double of 25 points and 16 rebounds, while her team beat Brod na Savi (#11, 0-5), the league's bottom-ranked team 86-74. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Zadar maintains the 10th position in Croatian Premijer Liga. Zadar is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-3 record. Podrug turned to be Zadar's top player in her first season with the team. Podrug has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (6th best: 19.4ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 13.6rpg), assists (3rd best: 5.8apg) and averages solid 62.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Katarina Trehub (192-C-1997) of ZKK Zadar Plus. She is a center in her first season at Zadar Plus. In the last game Trehub recorded an impressive double-double of 24 points and 17 rebounds. Of course Zadar Plus cruised to a 109-101 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Pula-Orca (#9, 2-3). This victory allowed Zadar Plus to move up to 5th position in the standings. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Trehub is a newcomer at Zadar Plus and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.2ppg (#4). She also registered 15.4 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Zadar Plus' star - guard Asiah Dingle (165-G-2000). Dingle showcased her all-around game by recording 29 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists (!!!) in the last round. She was another key player of ZKK Zadar Plus, helping her team with a 109-101 win against the lower-ranked Pula-Orca (#9, 2-3). Zadar Plus needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Dingle has a great season in Croatia. After only 5 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.2ppg (5th best) and assists with 5.8apg (4th best). Dingle attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on her way to pro basketball.
