Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

First defeat of league's leader Tresnjevka (16-1) against second ranked Ragusa (16-1) 67-58 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the 16-game winning streak of Tresnjevka. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The former international forward Iva Todoric (174-1993) orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Salome Boyomo contributed with 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. The former international power forward Dorja Zaja (190-2004) answered with 16 points and 9 rebounds for Tresnjevka. Ragusa have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Tresnjevka. Tresnjevka will play next round against Zadar trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Ragusa will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Pula-Orca in Zagreb.
The game in Zagreb supposed to be also worth to mention about. 4th placed Zadar Plus (10-7) played at the court of fifth ranked Zagreb (11-6). Zagreb smashed Zadar Plus 116-67. American guard Meghan Boyd (155, college: Colorado St.) stepped up and scored 30 points and 5 assists for the winners and Karolina Skare chipped in 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Zagreb's coach Danica Talajic felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Asiah Dingle (165-2000, college: Fordham, agency: BIG) responded with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Zagreb. They moved-up to fourth place. Zadar Plus at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with Pozega. Zagreb will play against KAZL Split (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Zadar Plus will play against Pozega (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between sixth ranked Pozega (10-7) and 12th ranked Pula-Orca (2-15) in Pozega on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Pozega outscored guests from Zagreb 108-59. Jelena Zoric nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Coach Vladimir Englman's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ana Mise came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for Pula-Orca in the defeat. Pozega moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Zadar Plus. Pula-Orca lost their fourteenth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Pozega will meet Zadar Plus (#5) on the road in the next round. Pula-Orca will play against the league's leader Ragusa (#1) and hope to secure a win.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 17: Brod na Savi was smashed by Rijeka on the road 91-65. Zadar won against Medvescak on its own court 78-69. KAZL Split was outscored by Sibenik in a road game 75-55.

Pozega - Pula-Orca 108-59

The game between sixth ranked Pozega (10-7) and 12th ranked Pula-Orca (2-15) in Pozega on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Pozega outscored guests from Zagreb 108-59. Pozega dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Pula-Orca's 36. Pozega forced 25 Pula-Orca turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 38 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Pula-Orca's players. Serbian center Jelena Zoric (185-1992) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winning side and the former international guard Lana Packovski (172-1994) accounted for 17 points, 13 assists and 6 steals. No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Rijeka (7-10) crushed at home 10th ranked Brod na Savi (4-13) 91-65 on Saturday. Rijeka forced 19 Brod na Savi turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Rijeka looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international guard Lina Strilic (174-2003) nailed 16 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and forward Ivona Krakic (188-1999, college: Georgian Court) accounted for 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Rijeka players scored in double figures. American guard Taylor Langan (178, college: Rider) came up with 22 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Aliyah-Deen Ahmad (170-1998, college: FMU) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Brod na Savi in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rijeka maintains seventh place with 7-10 record. Loser Brod na Savi keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. Rijeka will meet Medvescak (#11) in the next round. Brod na Savi will play against Sibenik and hope to secure a win.

Rather expected game when 11th ranked Medvescak (3-14) lost on the road to ninth ranked Zadar (6-11) 78-69 on Saturday. The former international center Emilija Podrug (190-1979) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and guard Lola Stipic (170-2008) accounted for 14 points and 6 assists. Four Zadar players scored in double figures. Forward Jelena Brkicic (180-2006) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and guard Gabriela Grizelj (172-2001) added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Medvescak in the defeat. Zadar moved-up to eighth place. Medvescak lost their third game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Zadar will meet league's second-placed Tresnjevka in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Medvescak will play against Rijeka (#7) and hope to secure a win.

The former international forward Andjela Strize (177-1999) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and British forward Dora Cipcic (181-1998, college: Georgian Court) accounted for 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Sibenik players scored in double figures. Serbian-Bosnian center Nikolina Zubac (189-1998) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and guard Gina Pirjak (165-2006) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively for KAZL Split in the defeat. KAZL Split's coach Anita Rade rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Sibenik maintains third place with 12-5 record having four points less than leader Ragusa. Loser KAZL Split keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. Sibenik will meet Brod na Savi (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KAZL Split will play against Zagreb and hope to secure a win.
