Eighth-ranked Zadar (7-15) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Zadar Plus (14-8) on Saturday. Zadar Plus managed to secure only two-point victory 71-69. However their fans expected easier game. American guard Asiah Dingle (165-2000, college: Fordham, agency: BIG) fired a double-double by scoring 28 points, 8 rebounds, 12 assists and 5 steals for the winners. The other American import center Tavy Diggs (188-2001, college: WVU) chipped in 22 points and 19 rebounds. The former international center Emilija Podrug (190-1979) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points, 18 rebounds and 7 assists for lost side. Zadar's coach Luka Bujas tried various players' combinations and tested in total fourteen players in this game, but that didn't help. Zadar Plus maintains fifth position with 14-8 record. Zadar lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth place with 15 games lost.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Sibenik (15-7) against sixth ranked Pozega (12-10) on Sunday night. Visiting Sibenik was defeated by Pozega in a tough game in Pozega 79-83. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Lea Miletic (184-1995) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. Jelena Ivezic contributed with 22 points and 5 assists for the winners. Pozega's coach Vladimir Englman allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international forward Andjela Strize (177-1999) replied with 40 points (!!!) (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field) for Sibenik. Pozega maintains sixth position with 12-10 record. Sibenik at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost. They share the position with Zagreb.
Leader Ragusa delivered the twenty first victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 7th ranked Rijeka (9-13) 78-62 in Dubrovnik. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rijeka. Salome Boyomo had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. At the losing side Nerea Brajac responded with 17 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ragusa (21-1) have an impressive 16-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position, which they share with Tresnjevka. Loser Rijeka keeps the seventh place with 13 games lost.
