Begic's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

31-year old forward Ana-Marija Begic (190-F-1994) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team ZKK Brod na Savi Slavonski Brod and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
She had a double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds, while her team crushed KAZL Split (#10, 3-10) with 21-point margin 83-62. It allowed Brod na Savi to consolidate first place in the Croatian Premijer Liga. Brod na Savi has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 12-1. In the team's last game Begic had a remarkable 84.6% from 2-point range. She turned to be Brod na Savi's top player in her first season with the team. Ana-Marija Begic averages just after two games 24.5ppg, 17.5rpg and 4.5apg.

Second best performed player last round was Sam Deem (185-SF-2001) of ZKK Zadar. She is American in her first season at Zadar. In the last game Deem recorded an impressive double-double of 28 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Zadar lost that game 74-79 to slightly higher-ranked Pozega (#6, 8-5). Zadar is still in a red zone at 8th spot in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-9 record. Deem is a newcomer at Zadar and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.7ppg (#8). She also registered 10.8 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Dragana Domuzin (174-PG-2000) of ZKK Zagreb (#4). Domuzin showcased her all-around game by recording 22 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 11 assists (!!!) in the last round. She was a key player of Zagreb, leading her team to a 74-68 win against the lower-ranked Rijeka (#7, 6-7). Zagreb needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 3 lost games. Domuzin has a great season in Croatia. After 13 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.5rpg (9th best) and assists with 5.4apg (5th best). She also has 3.0spg and a FGP of 51.9%.
