Rio Breogan keeps Brankovic for another season

Rio Breogan Lugo (Liga Endesa) re-signed 25-year old Croatian international center Danko Brankovic (217cm-2000) for season 2026-27. He played there last season. In 34 Liga Endesa games he recorded 11.3ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.1bpg. Good season as he was voted League Player of the Week. For two previous seasons (2023-25) he played at Bayern Muenchen (BBL) in German league. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he was exposed to basketball on different levels. He also played 30 games in German BBL where he averaged 4.1ppg and 2.5rpg in 2024-25 year. Brankovic helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. He also played 26 games in Euroleague where he had 4.3ppg and 2.2rpg in 2024-25 year.
Brankovic has been a member of the Croatian international program for some years. He has played for the Croatian senior team since 2021 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2019.
Brankovic also represented Croatia at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in Piraeus (Greece) two years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 6.3 points per game and had 3 rebounds per game.
He has played in Germany, Serbia (BC Mega Superbet Beograd), and Croatia (Cibona, Dubrava, Samobor, Bosco, and Cibona Zagreb U18 team).
Among many awards, he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Serbian League Honorable Mention back in 2023.
