Welch's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

American Guard Chloe Welch (175-G) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Skovbakken Bears and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
She had a double-double of 41 points and 16 rebounds, while her team crushed Herlev (3-2) with 22-point margin 85-63. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Skovbakken is placed at 2nd position in Danish Dameligaen. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Skovbakken will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Welch had a remarkable 52.4% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. She turned to be Skovbakken's top player in her first season with the team. Saint Joseph's University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Welch is league's best scorer averaging so far 25.0ppg. Welch is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 10.0rpg), assists (5th best: 3.3apg) and averages solid 2.0bpg,3.8spg and 50.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Mollie Mauria (181-F-2007) of BK Amager. She is a forward in her 5th season at Amager. In the last game Mauria recorded an impressive 19 points and 8 rebounds. Of course she led Amager to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Horsholm (#6, 1-5) 78-45. Amager's 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Mauria is one of the most experienced players at Amager and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Amager's star - forward Ellen Iversen (181-F-1997). Iversen scored 18 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). She was another key player of BK Amager, helping her team with a 78-45 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Horsholm (#6, 1-5). Amager needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Iversen has a great season in Denmark. After only 5 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.0ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 10.4rpg (3rd best).
