Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.
An interesting game for Falcon (8-1) which played road game in Herlev against 4th ranked Herlev (2-7). First ranked Falcon had an easy win 91-67. Falcon dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Herlev's 34. Falcon forced 19 Herlev turnovers and outrebounded them 51-27 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Julianna Okosun (194-2001, college: Marquette, agency: Highlight Athletes) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds. International guard Elisabeth Hansen (176-1993) contributed with 24 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. International forward Emilie Gudmand (177-2001) replied with 14 points and 6 rebounds for Herlev. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Falcon have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-1 record. Herlev at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Falcon are looking forward to face league's second-placed Aabyhoj at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Herlev will play against SISU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Amager is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their ninth consecutive match to second ranked Aabyhoj (7-2) 72-55. Guard Katrine Pedersen (176-2000) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Caroline Wich chipped in 10 points during the contest. At the losing side the former international forward Ellen Iversen (180-1997) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aabyhoj maintains second position with 7-2 record behind leader Falcon. Amager at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Aabyhoj will play against league's leader Falcon in Copenhagen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Amager will play on the road against SISU (#3) in Copenhagen and hopes to get finally their first victory.
