Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.
The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Copenhagen: Falcon (#2) and SISU (#3). SISU was defeated at home 64-74 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Falcon forced 24 SISU turnovers and outrebounded them 49-38 including 18 on the offensive glass. Falcon looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Julianna Okosun (194-2001, college: Marquette) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international guard Elisabeth Hansen (176-1993) contributed with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Falcon's coach Ivana Udovalieva used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Emilie Ravn (176-2000) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds for SISU. Defending champion (10-2) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Aabyhoj. SISU at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. Falcon is looking forward to face Herlev (#4) at home in the next round. SISU will have a break next round.
An interesting game for Aabyhoj (10-2) which hosted in Aabyhoj 4th placed Herlev (2-9). Second ranked Aabyhoj had an easy win 84-53. The former international center Caroline Wich (185-1996, college: Portland St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Matilde Madsen chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. At the losing side the former international forward Emilie Gudmand (177-2001) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aabyhoj have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Falcon. Herlev lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with nine games lost. Aabyhoj will play against bottom-ranked Amager (#5) in Kastrup in the next round.
