Santa Ozola claims EGBL U18 Hoops Agents weekly honour

Talented Santa Ozola (2008) had an amazing evening in the last round for TTT Juniores and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 16-year old had the game-high 25 points adding eight rebounds and seven assists for Riga/Centrs in her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Sheffield (#10, 0-5) with 45-point margin 86-41. Thanks to this victory TTT Juniores moved-up to the 4th position in EGBL U18. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. TTT Juniores will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Ozola had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. She turned to be TTT Juniores' top player in her first season with the team. Ozola has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 18.4ppg), rebounds (8th best: 6.2rpg) and averages solid 2.6spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Adriana Zemaityte (2007) of league's best team BC Deives Druskininkai U18 team. Zemaityte impressed basketball fans with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Of course she led Deives to another comfortable win outscoring Rapla (1-4) 70-39. A very good start of the season for her team, which won so far all 5 games without any defeat. Zemaityte is a newcomer at Deives and despite she is not a team leader yet, every game she becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

The third best performed player last round was Eimante Stepanaviciute (180-F-2009) of second-ranked Vilniaus Kibirkstis-VKM. Stepanaviciute scored 17 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. She was a key player of Kibirkstis-VKM, leading her team to a 63-15 easy win against Sheffield (#10, 0-5). Kibirkstis-VKM is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 4-1 record is not that bad... Stepanaviciute has a very solid season. In 5 games in European Girls Basketball League she scored 7.4ppg.

7. Liva Hermane (175-G/F-2007) of Riga/Centrs - 11 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Monika Cimalonskyte (162-G-2009) of U16 LTU - 6 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Urte Gureviciute (170-G-2010) of U16 LTU - 10 points and 4 rebounds
10. Caria Escamilla (2008) of Hospitalet - 8 points and 3 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
