Anastassia Froljonok claims Estonian NKML weekly honour

Talented Latvian Anastassia Froljonok (185-SF-2007) had a great game in the last round for Tartu Ulikool/CHK Kalev and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 19-year old had a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds, while her team crushed Rapla (1-3) with 18-point margin 73-55. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Tartu U. was forced-out from the top positions in Estonian NKML. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 3 games and had just one victory. Froljonok turned to be Tartu U.'s top player in her first season with the team. Froljonok has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 9.5rpg) and averages solid 65.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Julia Avramenko (2009) of league's best team TSA Tallinn. Avramenko impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 11 points and 11 assists. Of course she led TSA Tallinn to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Parnu (#1, 2-2) 97-41. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. TSA Tallinn consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. Her team has currently 3-1 record. Avramenko is a newcomer at TSA Tallinn and despite she is not a team leader yet, every game she becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

The third best performed player last round was another TSA Tallinn's star - Lada Lesina (181-F-2008). Lesina scored 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. She was another key player of TSA Tallinn, helping her team with a 97-41 easy win against #1 ranked Parnu. TSA Tallinn confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost game. Lesina has a very solid season. In 4 games in Estonia she scored 11.5ppg.
