Voluntari keeps Nicoara for another season

Titus Nicoara

CSO Voluntari (Liga Nationala) re-signed experienced 36-year-old ex-international 203cm forward Titus Nicoara, agency: Interperformances for the upcoming season. He played there last season. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he was exposed to basketball on different levels. In 39 Liga Nationala games, he averaged 5.3ppg, 5.2rpg, and 1.1apg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Nicoara also played 11 games in the European North Basketball League where he had 3.3ppg, 3.6rpg, and 1.3apg. He contributed to his team making it to the European North Basketball League final. The previous (2022-23) season he played at another Romanian team Steaua.
Nicoara was also a member of the Romanian international program for some years. He played for the Romanian Senior National Team between 2007 and 2018 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2008.
Nicoara also represented Romania at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) seven years ago. During this event he scored an average of 2.5 points per game and had rebounds per game.
He has also played professionally in Austria (Arkadia Lions), Italy, and Romania (Oradea, Pitesti, Medias, and Targu Jiu).
Among many awards, he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Romanian League Bosman Player of the Year back in 2020. It may be one of the last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Voluntari.
