Artem Kovalov claims European North Basketball League weekly honour

Ukrainian Artem Kovalov (208-F/C-1997) had a very impressive game in the last round for Keila Coolbet and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 27-year old power forward had a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Fyllingen (#18, 0-4) with 18-point margin 91-73. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Keila C. is placed at 15th position in European North Basketball League. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 3 games and had just one victory. In the team's last game Kovalov had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Keila C.'s top player in his first season with the team. Kovalov has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 10.5rpg) and averages solid 2.8bpg.

Chargois is a newcomer at Brno and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.7ppg (#4). He also registered 13.7 boards per game. The University of Oklahoma alumni Chargois played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was American Kendall Lewis (203-F) of Bristol Flyers (#17). Lewis scored 16 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was a key player of Flyers, leading his team to a 93-89 win against the higher-ranked Brno (#14, 1-2). Bristol Flyers can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Lewis has a very solid season. In 5 games in European North Basketball League he scored 12.6ppg.
