Erikstrup's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

22-year old Danish forward Dane Erikstrup (208-F-2003) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team Donar Groningen and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds, while his team edged out Bristol Flyers (#5, 1-1) 70-69. It allowed Groningen to take over top position in the European North Basketball League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Groningen has a very solid 2-1 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Erikstrup turned to be Groningen's top player in his first season with the team. Dane Erikstrup averages just after three games 17.3ppg and 7.7rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Oliver Metsalu (196-PF-1993) of TalTech/OPTIBET Tallinn. He is a forward in his 9th season at TalTech. In the last game Metsalu recorded an impressive 16 points and 7 rebounds. It was enough for TalTech to edge Kapfenberg (0-2) by 6 points 61-55. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Metsalu is one of the most experienced players at TalTech and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Jared Ambrose (204-C-2002) of Brussels Basketball (#14). Ambrose scored 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Ambrose's great performance the Circus_Brussels lost 75-80 to Sigal Prishtina (#9, 2-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Brussels can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. The season just started for Ambrose as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

10. Siim-Markus Post (184-PG-1997) of TalTech - 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists
