Joshua Keyes claims European North Basketball League weekly honour

Experienced American Joshua Keyes (201-F-1995) put on an amazing game in the last round for Fyllingen BBK and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 30-year old forward had a double-double of 28 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Bristol Flyers (#6, 2-4) 91-82. Fyllingen maintains the 9th position in European North Basketball League . The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 6 games and had just one victory. In the team's last game Keyes had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Fyllingen's top player in his first season with the team. Muskingum University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Keyes is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 10.4rpg) and averages solid 2.1spg and 57.1% FGP. Worth to mention Keyes played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Isaiah Thompson (198-F-2003, agency: Starting 5) of Keila Coolbet. Thompson impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 22 points and 21 rebounds. Bad luck as Keila C. lost that game 84-94 to the higher-ranked Opava (#11, 5-2). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Keila C. keeps 18th position. 7 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Thompson is a newcomer at Keila C. and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Austin Luke (191-G-1994) of Donar Groningen (#4). Luke showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, 8 rebounds and 13 assists (!!!) in the last round. Despite Luke's great performance the Groningen lost 104-106 to #1 ranked Weissenfels. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Groningen needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 4 victories and 3 lost games. Luke has a great season in European North Basketball League. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 9.1apg (best passer).
