Wille Nordell claims Finnish 1st Division B weekly honour

Wille Nordell (197-F/G-2002) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Vantaan Pussihukat Juniorit and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents 1st Division B Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 24-year old swingman had the game-high 24 points adding five rebounds and seven assists for PuHu Juniorit in his team's victory, helping them to beat Nokia (#7, 2-2) 86-73. PuHu Juniorit is placed at 2nd position in Finnish 1st Division B. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. PuHu Juniorit will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Nordell had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He turned to be PuHu Juniorit's top player in his first season with the team. Wille Nordell averages this season 17.0ppg and 6.0rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Thomas Ronnholm (197-F-2003) of Joensuun Kataja Basket. Ronnholm impressed basketball fans with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Kataja to another comfortable win outscoring Pajulahti (#11, 0-4) 104-67. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Kataja keeps 9th position. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Kataja managed to get this year. Ronnholm is a newcomer at Kataja and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Akseli Arvonen (189-F-2004) of Kaarinan Ura Basket (#6). Arvonen showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Ura Basket, leading his team to a 104-89 easy win against slightly lower-ranked HyPo (#8, 1-3). Ura Basket needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Arvonen has a very solid season. In 3 games in Finland he scored 13.0ppg.
