French LFB round 5 best performance: Anna Ngo Ndjock

Swingman Anna Ngo Ndjock (177-F/G-1999) had a very impressive game in the last round for Villeneuve D'Ascq ESB Lille Metropole, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 27-year old player was the main contributor (24 points, five rebounds and five assists) to her team's victory, helping them to crush Chartres (#9, 1-2) with 23-point margin 80-57. Villeneuve is placed at 8th position in French LFB. Villeneuve is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-3 record. In the team's last game Ngo Ndjock had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. She turned to be Villeneuve's top player in her first season with the team. Former Carleton University star has very solid stats this year. Ngo Ndjock is in league's top in points (6th best: 15.4ppg), assists (7th best: 5.0apg) and averages impressive 55.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Harmoni Turner (178-F-2001) of Landerneau Bretagne Basket. Turner had a very good evening with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. It was enough for Landerneau to edge the lower-ranked La Tronche (#11, 1-4) 67-64. This victory allowed Landerneau to move up to 7th position in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-3 record. Turner is a newcomer at Landerneau, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.8ppg (#1). Her other stats are also decent: 4.5rpg and 3.5apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Dominique Toussaint (175-G-1998) of Toulouse Metropole Basket (#12). Toussaint scored 25 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Despite Toussaint's great performance the Toulouse lost 69-87 to the higher-ranked Bourges (#3, 3-1). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Toulouse can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 5 games. Toussaint has individually a great season in France. After only 5 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.8ppg (4th best).
