Vander Jagt's 25 points give him Player of the Week award

23-year old American guard Kyler Vander Jagt (193-G-2003) had a very impressive game in the last round for BC Telavi and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had the game-high 25 points adding two rebounds for Telavi in his team's victory, helping them to beat Kutaisi (#9, 1-4) 89-80. Telavi is placed at 4th position in Georgian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Telavi will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Vander Jagt had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Telavi's top player in his first season with the team. Kyler Vander Jagt averages this season 14.2ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Luka Kalatozishvili (198-PF-1999) of Black Fortress Tbilisi. He is a forward in his first season at Black Fortress. In the last game Kalatozishvili recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as Black Fortress was edged by the higher-ranked Tkibuli Orbi (#3, 3-1) 82-81. Black Fortress are still at the very bottom. 5 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Kalatozishvili is a newcomer at Black Fortress and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Henry Vetter (196-G) of Tkibuli Orbi (#3). Vetter showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Tkibuli Orbi, leading his team to a 82-81 win against Black Fortress (#11, 0-5). Tkibuli Orbi needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost game. Vetter has a very solid season. In 4 games in Georgia he scored 13.8ppg.
