Syntainics MBC - Bamberg 97-87
Syntainics MBC made history today winning their first ever BBL Cup title in Germany. In the Final game they overcame Bamberg 97-87. Syntainics MBC started strong and reached 28-17 lead after 10 minutes. They led 11 points at the halftime and won the third period 25-21. Bamberg could only reply with a narrow 27-22 win in the last stanza.
Michael Devoe (196-G-1999, college: Georgia Tech) was named MVP finishing with 27 points. Martin Breunig (203-PF-1992, college: Montana) brought 16, whilst Spencer Reaves (191-SG-1995, college: Central Mo.) had 14. Ronaldo Segu (183-PG-1999, college: Buffalo) replied with 22 points in the losing effort.
