Wasserburg celebrated the third consecutive DBBL title. They survived overtime thriller to tame Saarlouis and swept the championship series. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 23-19 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 17-6. TV Saarlouis Royals were plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American Emma Cannon (187-89, college: Cent.Florida, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field). Her fellow American import point guard Sheylani Peddy (170-88, college: Temple, agency: LBM Management) helped adding 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was American guard La'Keisha Sutton (175-90, college: S.Carolina) with 29 points and 6 rebounds and the former international guard Stina Barnert (173-89) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Four TV Saarlouis Royals players scored in double figures.

Wasserburg celebrated the German Cup title. They overcame Rhein-Main Baskets in the Final. Sheylani Peddy (170-PG-88, agency: LBM Management, college: Temple) stepped up with 16 points for the winners. It was the sixth Cup success for Wasserburg. They dominated from start to finish in this one. Wasserburg outgunned their opponents in each period and cruised to another trophy. Tiina Sten (188-F-85, agency: Regeneracom Sports, college: St.John's) had 13 points, while Svenja Brunckhorst (179-G-91) and Anne Breitreiner (184-SG-84) added 11 points each for the winners. Anna-lisa Rexroth (173-G-90) replied with 18 points for Rhein-Main. Pia Dietrich (168-PG-94) had 10 points in the loss.
