German BBL round 3 best performance: Eli Brooks (by Hoops Agents)

American-Irish Guard Eli Brooks (185-G-1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for VET-CONCEPT Gladiators Trier, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (21 points, four rebounds and seven assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Jena (#16, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 98-85. Gladiators is placed at 4th position in German BBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Trier will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Brooks had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Gladiators's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Michigan star has very solid stats this year. Brooks is in league's top in points (6th best: 18.3ppg) and averages impressive 78.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Cameron Krutwig (206-C-1998) of Phoenix Hagen. Krutwig had a very good evening with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as Phoenix Hagen was edged by Chemnitz (1-2) 94-93. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Krutwig is a newcomer at Hagen, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.7ppg (#7). His other stats are also decent: 5.7rpg and 5.7apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was international center Tibor Pleiss (221-C-1989) of Rasta Vechta (#17). Pleiss scored 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). Despite Pleiss' great performance the Rasta Vechta lost 81-93 to Frankfurt (#9, 1-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Pleiss has individually a great season in Germany. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.5rpg (2nd best).
