German BBL round 6 best performance: Spencer Reaves

Naturalized American Shooting guard Spencer Reaves (191-SG-1995) had an amazing evening in the last round for SYNTAINICS MBC Weissenfels, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 31-year old player was the main contributor (33 points, two rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Rostock (#10, 3-3) 103-98. MBC is placed at 5th position in German BBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Weissenfels will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. In the team's last game Reaves had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 10 attempts. He has many years of experience at MBC, through which he has constantly improved. Former University of Central Missouri star has very solid stats this year. Reaves is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.7ppg. Reaves is in league's top in and averages impressive 52.2% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Bent Leuchten (216-C-2002) of Rostock Seawolves. Leuchten had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Seawolves lost that game 98-103 to the higher-ranked Weissenfels (#5, 4-2). This loss caused Rostock to drop to 10th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Leuchten is well-known at Rostock and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Trenton Gibson (193-G-2000) of Phoenix Hagen (#14). Gibson scored 22 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He was a key player of Phoenix Hagen, leading his team to a 88-73 easy win against the higher-ranked Braunschweig (#8, 3-3). Gibson has individually a great season in Germany. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.0ppg (2nd best).
