Maximilian Mayer (202-PG-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for
TSV Oberhaching Tropics Deisenhofen and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents ProB Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 28-year old playmaker had a double-double of 32 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat
Jena ScCity 2 (#12,
1-5)
94-88.
Deisenhofen is placed at 4th position in German ProB. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season.
Oberhaching will need more victories to improve their
5-2 record. In the team's last game Mayer had a remarkable 92.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be
Deisenhofen's top player in his first season with the team. Mayer has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (9th best: 19.3ppg), rebounds (5th best: 9.0rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg,2.3spg and 71.1% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Bahamas forward
Greg McKay (198-F-2001) of
BBA Hagen. McKay impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Hagen BBA to another comfortable win outscoring the higher-ranked
Bernau (#3,
4-2)
91-69. This victory allowed Hagen BBA to move up to 9th position in North. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a
3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. McKay is a newcomer at Hagen BBA and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.5ppg (#8). He also registered 8.3 boards per game.
The third best performed player last round was American
Andre Fox (193-G-1996) of
Basketball Loewen Braunschweig (#11). Fox showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Braunschweig, leading his team to a
82-71 win against
Westerstede (#14,
0-6). The chances of Braunschweig not to end season at such low position in North, however are less than slim as they have already lost 4 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Fox could try to bring Braunschweig's a little bit higher in the standings. Fox has individually a great season in Germany. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.5ppg (2nd best). He also has 3.0spg and a FGP of 57.1%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
