Koeln DTV - Grevenbroich 73-51

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Grevenbroich (8-12) was outleveled on the road by fifth ranked Koeln DTV (10-10) 73-51 on Saturday. American-British guard Elijah Jenkins (190, college: Embry Riddle) notched 21 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and center Florian Wendeler (205-1993) supported him with 23 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Even 7 points and 7 rebounds by Jonathan Broer (198-2001) did not help to save the game for Grevenbroich. American guard Brian Dawson (188, college: Regis Univ., agency: Interperformances) added 9 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Koeln DTV maintains fifth position with 10-10 record, which they share with Loewen and Saarlouis. Grevenbroich lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Muenster 2 and Hamm. Koeln DTV will meet Hamm (#9) on the road in the next round. Recklinghausen - Muenster 2 63-72
