The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Gladiators (19-4) on the court of thirteenth ranked Koblenz on Friday night. Visitors were edged by Koblenz 66-63. They share it with Frankfurt. Kirchheim will play against bottom-ranked Paderborn (#18) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Hagen will play against Artland (#17) in Quakenbrueck and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Giessen was rolled over Frankfurt on the road 94-67. Bayreuth defeated Karlsruhe PS on its own court 77-71. Bottom-ranked Artland beat Dresden in Quakenbrueck 95-86. Jena destroyed Vechta 2 at home 86-67.
