The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 5 rounds. The round was exceptionally exciting as three games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The most important game in the last round took place in Leverkusen between third ranked Salzkotten (13-9) and tenth ranked Leverkusen 2 (10-14) on Saturday night. Salzkotten was defeated by Leverkusen 2 on the road 94-78. Center Yannick Kneesch (204-1996) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Viktor Frankl-Maus (186-1993) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. American point guard Keith Hayes II (178, college: William Jewell) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Leverkusen 2 moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Grevenbroich. Newly promoted Salzkotten dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Hagen BG (19-5) against fifth ranked Wulfen (14-11) on Saturday night. Visiting Hagen BG was defeated by Wulfen in a tough game in Wulfen 77-82. It ended at the same time the 12-game winning streak of Hagen BG. Juhwan Harris-dyson notched 20 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Leon Oshodin supported him with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Even 20 points and 6 rebounds by American guard Shawn Scott (185-1996, college: SW Christian) did not help to save the game for Hagen BG. Hagen BG's coach Tome Zdravevski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Wulfen moved-up to third place. Hagen BG at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Neustadt. First ranked host Neustadt TSV (23-12) defeated 3rd ranked Bargteheide (16-4) 102-87.
