Seawolves Academy inks Benedict Baumgarth

Rostock Seawolves Academy (ProB) agreed terms with 19-year old power forward Benedict Baumgarth (213cm-2006) for the upcoming 2025-26 season. He played last season at SBB Baskets Wolmirstedt. In 15 ProB games in Germany, he had just 2.1ppg and 1.8rpg. He helped them to make it to the German 2.Bundesliga Pro B final after they ended the regular season as the second-best team.
Baumgarth represented Germany at the Albert Schweitzer Tournament in Germany (Unofficial World Championship U18) last year. Baumgarth's team won Bronze.
He has played previously for five other teams: SparkassenStars, Wulfen, Loewen, Metropol Ruhr, and Vechta.
