German ProA round 16 best performance: Bjorn Rohwer

Center Bjorn Rohwer (213-C-1995) had an amazing evening in the last round for RheinStars Koeln, receiving a Hoops Agents ProA Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 30-year old player was the main contributor (32 points, five rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Nuernberg (#9, 8-8) 95-92. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. RheinStars is placed at 15th position in German ProA. Koeln is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-10 record. In the team's last game Rohwer had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at RheinStars, through which he has constantly improved. Bjorn Rohwer averages this season 12.2ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Jordan Sears (180-PG-2001) of league's second-best BG Goettingen. Sears had a very good evening with 26 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he led BG Goettingen to another comfortable win 81-63 over the lower-ranked Muenster (#18, 4-12) being unquestionably team leader. Goettingen's second position in the standings has not changed. His team's 12-4 record is not bad at all. Sears is a newcomer at Goettingen, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Tim Smith Jr. (201-F-2000, agency: 011 Sports) of EPG Guardians Koblenz (#8). Smith Jr. scored 27 points. He was a key player of Koblenz, leading his team to a 107-89 easy win against Bochum (8-8). Koblenz needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 8 lost games. Smith Jr. has a very solid season. In 16 games in Germany he scored 14.6ppg. He also has 4.4rpg, a FGP of 61.1% and 3PT: 50.0%.
