German BBL round 19 best performance: Jordan Roland

American Point guard Jordan Roland (185-PG-1997, agency: Diamond Sports) had a great game in the last round for VET-CONCEPT Gladiators Trier, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (31 points, two rebounds and seven assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Frankfurt (#10, 9-10) 115-108. Gladiators is placed at 3rd position in German BBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Trier will need more victories to improve their 12-7 record. In the team's last game Roland had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Gladiators's top player in his first season with the team. Former Northeastern University star has very solid stats this year. Roland is league's best scorer averaging so far 19.3ppg. Roland is in league's top in and averages impressive 58.7% FGP and 41.1% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Devon Daniels (196-G-1998, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) of Veolia Towers Hamburg. Daniels had a very good evening with 29 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course Hamburg Towers cruised to a 95-85 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Braunschweig (#18, 4-15). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Hamburg managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 15th place. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-10 record. Daniels is a newcomer at Hamburg, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Ivorian forward Kevin Yebo (207-F-1996) of NINERS Chemnitz (#12). Yebo scored 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. He was a key player of Chemnitz, leading his team to a 79-75 win against slightly lower-ranked Weissenfels (#14, 7-12). The chances of Chemnitz ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 11 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Yebo could help Chemnitz to bring them higher in the standings. Yebo has a great season in Germany. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.1ppg (5th best). Kevin Yebo has also German passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

7. Isaiah Swope (178-PG-2003) of Frankfurt - 41 points
8. Andy Van Vliet (213-F/C-1995) of Rostock - 22 points and 9 rebounds
9. Jack Kayil (191-PG-2006) of ALBA - 24 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
10. David Muenkat (201-F-2000) of Wuerzburg - 14 points and 8 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
