Greek Basketball League (Elite League) History

League status

The Elite League (B) is the second-tier professional basketball league in Greece. Elite League was established in 1961.
The Elite League sits above the National League 1 which effectively forms the third-tier of Greek basketball.
At the end of regular season, top 8 teams qualify to the play-offs.
The bottom 2 teams are relegated to National League 1.
Limits of non-Greek players per team: 0 import players (non-Europeans), 2 Bosman players (with European passport) . Total number of allowed imports and Bosmans is 2.
