Greek Cup: The first title for 2007 is Green !!!
Zeliko Obradovic's team won the cup in a game which finished a couple of hours ago. The islanders of Rethymno were brave enough to "fight" the game for at least one quarter upon the game finished with 18-24. After that though, Kostas Tsartsaris and his team mates took the game seriously and fullfill one of the greates victories ever, in the Greek history of the Cup, (after the fourty points difference which Aris had against the team of Panellinios during 80's0 the final score of the game was 48-87 and the 39 points of the difference is the second higer ever. The 48 points which Rethymno scored is the lower ever score in a cup's final (after Iraklis 50 against Olympiakos in the 90's).
The game was a Basketball celebration and teh nearly 13,000 fans had a really great time in the court. Panathinaikos won it's tenth cup title and is rank first among the Greek teams who has a double digit in cup titles, followed by Aris with 9.
MVP was voted Kostas Tsartsaris (the second consecutive time after last years cup final against Maroussi) the Greek power forward was also the top scorer of the game with 14 points in 19 minutes.

OPAP 15th All star Game: Rest of the World - Greek stars 99-87
The fifteenth OPAP All star game came to an end last night, the Lamia's hosts were magnificent, they gave their best and they succeed to create one of the most successful all star games in the short history of all star games in Greece. Everything was perfect, the atmosphere, the management of the basketball celebration even the players consisting of, this celebration, gave their best self in the superb show. The team “rest of the world” beat the team “Greek stars” but who cares anyway!!!!
The show was there, in Lamia all the players, Greeks and foreigners, stars and “anti-stars” prove for one more time that basketball is just a game and that is the way that everyone has to see and feel it. Never the less, the show was really amazing and the players came in the court with lots and lots of mood to enjoy the game and generate the necessary efficiency in order to make glamorous the whole picture. And they did it!
Rest of the world showed their “disposition” from the early beginning of the game, they started with better perspectives and took an early lead forcing their opponents to follow them from the beginning to the end. In a run and gun game, they were no defenses and not really strategic schemes from the quartet of coaches Gershon and Mazzon against Obradovic and Pilafidis. MVP was voted Andre Hatson while the top scorer was the 3D (Dimitris Diamantidis (196-G-80)) with 18 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal in 22 minutes!!! The quarters were: 32-17, 57-34, 71-64, and 99-87.
The scorers from both the teams were:
REST OF THE WORLD: Parker 7 (1), Scales 4, Acker 10, Becirovic 13 (3), Siskauskas 8 (2), Massey 8, Clark 9 (1), Walsh 10 (2), Wilkinson 2, Winston 6, Stack 6, Hatson 16.
GREEK STARS: Alvertis, Diamantidis 8 (4), Papamakarios 3 (1), Perperoglou 8, Printezis 7 (1), Bourousis 10 (1), Iliadis 9 (1), Dikoudis 8, Tsartsaris 4, Vasilopoulos 2, Kalabokis 8, Schortsianitis 10.
The winner in the dunk contest was Giorgos Printezis even though everybody agrees that it was unfair on behalf of the committee as the fans believed that Kennedy Winston had to win the contest.
In the three point contest, Sani Becirovic was the winner as he scored the last (two points) shot from the arc and beat at the final his opponent, Alex Scales (17 vs.16)

OPAP All star game in Lamia, youth: North Vs South 87-83
The 15th All star game begun with the new generation of the Hellenic Basketball, the youth teams of North and South prove to be "equal" partners with the men's teams, giving a spectacular basketball show to the 5000 baskeball fans who joined the basketball celebration in the Halkiopouleion court of Lamia (the home court of Ionikos Lamias). The second half though was balanced between the two teams with Petros Noeas and Dimitris Verginis to combete as on who would have been the final winner. At the end they both won, as Petros Noeas's team won the game and Dimitris Verginis voted as the MVP of the All Star game.
