American
De'Vion Harmon (188-G-2001, agency:
Worldwide SM) had a very impressive game in the last round for
AE Doxa Lefkadas and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 25-year old guard had the game-high 22 points adding three rebounds and five assists for
Lefkadas in his team's victory, helping them to beat
Mykonos (#12,
1-4)
73-59. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings.
Lefkadas maintains the 9th position in Greek GBL.
Lefkadas is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their
2-3 record. In the team's last game Harmon had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be
Lefkadas' top player in his first season with the team. Texas Tech University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Harmon is league's best scorer averaging so far 19.8ppg. Harmon is in league's top in assists (4th best: 5.6apg) and averages solid 53.1% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international shooting guard
Giannoulis Larentzakis (196-SG-1993, agency:
Octagon Europe) of
AEK BC Athens. Larentzakis impressed basketball fans with 23 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as AEK lost that game
84-95 to the lower-ranked
Vikos I. (#14,
1-4). This loss caused AEK to drop to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere
2-3 record. Larentzakis is a newcomer at AEK and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.
The third best performed player last round was French
Sylvain Francisco (185-G-1997) of
Panathinaikos Aktor Athens (#4). Francisco scored 20 points and passed 5 assists. Despite Francisco's great performance the Panathinaikos lost
91-101 to #3 ranked
Aris. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Panathinaikos had another "accident". It may be a crucial game and cause dropping from the group of top ranked teams. The record is still good, but 1st lost game is hopefully really an accident. Francisco's teammates are also very good. That's why having such high stats is even more impressive. Francisco has a very solid season. In 4 games in Greece he scored 14.8ppg.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
