Forward Alissa Van der Plas (180-2002) contributed with 13 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Bottom-ranked Landstede is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to fifth ranked Leiden (4-3) 62-59. It was a great evening for guard Kathelijne Van Bennekom (175, college: Tampa) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Kim Schrama helped adding 11 points and 5 rebounds. Leiden's coach Thijs Volmer allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Leiden will play against TopKip Lions (#6) in Landsmeer in the next round. Landstede will play on the road against the league's second-placed QSTA Utd (#2) in Bemmel and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Landsmeer supposed to be also quite interesting. 7th ranked Binnenland (3-4) played at the court of eighth ranked TopKip Lions (3-4). TopKip Lions smashed Binnenland 85-43 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for Charlotte van Kleef who led the winners and scored 28 points.
