McIntyre's double-double lands him Division I Player of the Week award

American Guard Adrian McIntyre (190-G) had a very impressive game in the last round for Breidablik Kopavogur and receives a Hoops Agents Division I Player of the Week award for round 5.
He got a double-double of 36 points and 10 assists, while his team outclassed KV Reykjavik (#8, 2-3) with 38-point margin 115-77. Breidablik maintains the 5th position in Icelandic Division I. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Breidablik will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game McIntyre had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Breidablik's top player in his first season with the team. University of San Diego graduate has very impressive stats this year. McIntyre is league's best scorer averaging so far 30.3ppg. McIntyre is in league's top in assists (3rd best: 7.8apg) and averages solid 2.3spg and 74.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Djordje Dzeletovic (206-C-1993, agency: Olsta) of Thor Thorlakshofn. He is Serbian center in his 2nd season at Thor Thorl. In the last game Dzeletovic recorded an impressive double-double of 35 points and 12 rebounds. Of course Thor Thorl cruised to a 107-100 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Selfoss (#7, 2-3). Thor Thorl's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 4 matches. Dzeletovic is well-known at Thor Thorl and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.2ppg (#3). He also registered 9.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Keylane Lasisi (198-F-2003, agency: Dagger Basket) of Snaefell (#10). Lasisi scored 21 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Snaefell, leading his team to a 87-82 win against Skallagrimur (#12, 0-5). Snaefell can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Lasisi has individually a great season in Iceland. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.0rpg (7th best).
