American Jada Smith (175-G/F-1997) had an amazing evening in the last round for Athena-UMFK Reykjavik and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Division I Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 28-year old swingman had a double-double of 29 points and 11 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Vestri (#10, 0-4) with 55-point margin 124-69. Athena maintains the 3rd position in Icelandic Division I. They are still close to the very top. Athena would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. In the team's last game Smith had a remarkable 65.0% from 2-point range. It's her second year at Athena and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Clarion University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Smith is in league's top in points (4th best: 24.0ppg), assists (2nd best: 6.0apg) and averages solid 3.8spg and 55.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was American guard Leilani Kapinus (178-G, agency: LBM Management) of Fjolnir Reykjavik. Kapinus impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 33 points and 12 rebounds. Of course she led Fjolnir to another comfortable win outscoring KV (#11, 0-5) 95-54. Fjolnir's 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Kapinus is a newcomer at Fjolnir and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.0ppg (#2). Her other stats are also decent: 15.4rpg and 4.0apg.

The third best performed player last round was Emma Snaebjarnardottir (177-G-2008) of second-ranked Thor AK Akureyri. Snaebjarnardottir got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. She went also for six rebounds . She was a key player of Thor, leading her team to a 122-65 easy win against the lower-ranked IR (#8, 1-3). Thor started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game. Snaebjarnardottir turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Snaebjarnardottir has a very solid season. In 4 games in Iceland she scored 20.8ppg.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
