Hermida's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

28-year old Spanish guard Marta Hermida (180-G-1997) had a very impressive game in the last round for U.M.F. Tindastoll and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
She got a double-double of 42 points and 10 assists, while her team was edged out by Haukar (#6, 6-4) 93-89. Tindastoll maintains the 8th position in Icelandic Subway League. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 7 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Hermida had a remarkable 53.8% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 11 attempts. She turned to be Tindastoll's top player in her first season with the team. Boise State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Hermida is league's best scorer averaging so far 29.2ppg. Hermida is in league's top in assists (3rd best: 7.1apg) and averages solid 4.2spg and 52.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Alyssa Cerino (186-F-1997) of Valur Reykjavik. She is Canadian-Italian forward in her 2nd season at Valur. In the last game Cerino recorded an impressive 34 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Valur was edged by slightly higher-ranked Keflavik (7-3) 95-92. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Valur still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. Her team's 7-3 record is not bad at all. Cerino is well-known at Valur and she already established her position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Keishana Washington (170-G-2000, agency: LBM Management) of league's second-best Keflavik. Washington got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. She went also for six rebounds and seven assists. She was a key player of Keflavik, leading her team to a 95-92 win against #3 ranked Valur. Keflavik needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 3 lost games. Washington has a great season in Iceland. After only 7 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.1ppg (4th best) and assists with 7.3apg (2nd best).
