KV's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after eight consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Vestri (0-8) 86-82 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 46-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. KV dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Vestri's 26. KV looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. KV's coach used entire bench in such tough game. Maria Kolyandrova replied with a triple-double by scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for Vestri. KV maintains ninth position with 1-8 record. It was Vestri's eighth loss in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost. KV are looking forward to face higher ranked Selfoss (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Vestri will have a break next round.
Division I top team - Thor (8-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Selfoss (5-4) in Akureyri 99-51. American forward Chloe Wilson (180, college: Delaware) had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 25 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Emilie Ravn chipped in 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side responded with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Selfoss' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Undefeated Thor have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record. Selfoss lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with four games lost. Thor will play against Snaefell (#6) in Stykkisholmur in the next round where they are favorite. Selfoss will play at home against KV and hope to get back on the winning track.
The game in Njardvik supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Athena (7-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Njardvik 2 (3-6). Athena smashed Njardvik 2 108-70 on Saturday. Jada Smith notched 18 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 25 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) by Kristin Gudjonsdottir did not help to save the game for Njardvik 2. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Athena have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Njardvik 2 at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Athena will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Njardvik 2 will play again against the league's second-placed Athena (#2) and hope to secure a win.

Other games in round 10 were not that significant. Snaefell was beaten by IR on the road 64-57. Fjolnir destroyed Stjarnan 2 on its own court 110-52. KV was outscored by Selfoss in a road game 81-57.

Everything could happen in Reykjavik at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked IR and 6th ranked Snaefell had identical 4-3 record. This time IR used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Stykkisholmur 64-57 on Saturday night. Snaefell trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 20-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 57-64 at the end of the game. Caely Kesten notched 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and Thordis Hjorleifsdottir supported her with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Even 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists by American forward Chloe Wilson (180, college: Delaware) did not help to save the game for Snaefell. Fjolnir led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Stjarnan 2 to just 6 points in first quarter. Fjolnir dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Stjarnan 2's 24. Fjolnir forced 32 Stjarnan 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 43-25 including a 34-12 advantage in defensive rebounds.
