Icelandic Subway League round 14 best performance: Jada Guinn

American Guard Jada Guinn (173-G-2000) had a great game in the last round for Hamar, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 32 points and 10 rebounds, while her team in a lost game to Haukar (#5, 9-5) 85-88. Hamar maintains the 10th position in Icelandic Subway League. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 13 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game Guinn had a remarkable 73.3% from 2-point range. She turned to be Hamar's top player in her first season with the team. Former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga star has very solid stats this year. Guinn is in league's top in points (5th best: 22.9ppg) and averages impressive 62.4% FGP. Worth to mention Guinn played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped her get the job in pro basketball.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Ruth Sherrill (188-F/C-1994) of Stjarnan. Sherrill had a very good evening with a double-double of 24 points and 20 rebounds. Of course she led Stjarnan to another comfortable win 92-78 over slightly higher-ranked Keflavik (#6, 8-6) being unquestionably team leader. Stjarnan's 7th position in the standings has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-8 record. Sherrill is a newcomer at Stjarnan, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Swedish Ellen Nystrom (185-SF-1993) of league's top team U.M.F. Grindavik. Nystrom got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. She went also for seven rebounds and five assists. She was a key player of Grindavik, leading her team to a 89-79 win against #2 ranked Njardvik in a game of the week. Grindavik confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 4 lost games. Nystrom has a great season in Iceland. After 14 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.6ppg (3rd best). She also has a FGP of 60.6% and 3PT: 42.7%.
